Jim’s birthday celebration

The Pippins (our daughter and her family) took me out to dinner at the brand new Smokin Pig resturant (Macon Mall) for my birthday on Friday.  The birthday festivities were great, but that’s not all, the food was fantastic!  It’s been a long time since I enjoyed a meal this much.

In case you haven’t been, here’s what you’re in for:  I had their 30 piece large shrimp special.  As if 30 shrimp isn’t enough, they sweeten the deal with a salad bar, 2 sides AND a dessert bar.  All that for less than $13.  Everyone at the table had “to go” boxes (this food is too good to waste).  You’ve got to try this place at least once.  I’m already planning for my next visit:  I’m going to have the prime rib sandwich with all the trimmings.

Look below for some pics I took during dinner:

Photographic training with a master.

Hey all.   My long time friend, David Ziser, passed thru Atlanta recently with a photography program called Captured by the Light.  David is known internationally as a great wedding photographer and dynamic speaker.  He spoke for 5 hours on the “ART” of wedding photography.  It’s a concept that has been pushed aside by all the wanabees that have flooded the market.  They are the ones that would rather take 2,000 or 3,000 shots hoping that 80 or 90 will be good;  rather than learning how proper positioning and lighting can create great shots every time.   He also discussed some cool new products that we’ll be offering our couples.   Call Impressive Images Photography soon;  I’ve got some new things to offer YOU.   478-737-2244

Jacksonville (FL) trip.

Linda and I took a very relaxing trip to Jacksonville recently.  We’ve never been there before; but we’ll sure be going back.  There is so much to do, see and photograph.  This trip we concentrated on nature by going to 9 state parks.  See the collage below for a pic of what they call the “boneyard”  (a collection of skeleton trees.)
